A Word From the Pastor
Greetings in the grace and peace of Jesus Christ. Here at Trinity Bible Church we believe in the existence and reality of God. We can see the reality of God the CREATOR on display in the spectacular beauty and complexity of His Creation. We also see the reality of God the SAVIOR on display in our own individual lives through the power of the Gospel of Christ.
Certainly, the right response from us as a church is to have a humble reverence and love for our God who is so rich in mercy and grace. It is our hope and prayer that our church may be characterized by this humble delight in the Lord and in the Word of the Lord.
The local church is a special and unique institution in the world. It is not a business. It is not a club. It is not a socio-political activist organization. Instead, it is an assembly of believers united, not only by faith in Christ, but by Christ Himself! The local church is God’s appointed place where we together maintain this amazing relationship we have with Christ the Savior.
Here at Trinity Bible Church we seek to maintain that relationship in an atmosphere of joyful and peaceful fellowship. Our worship service is neither liturgical nor “contemporary.” Neither are we intentionally trying to be old fashioned or traditional. Instead, we are attempting to abide by the New Testament model with, hopefully, a refreshingly simple format characterized by reverence and love.
With respect to our theology, let me first say that theology is very, very important! If we want to have a good church experience we must have a good theology. In order for our theology to be good we must not develop our own independent interpretations of God. Neither should we be content with only a study of historic theology. Instead, we must pursue BIBLICAL theology. In other words, we must be students of the Bible in our time and place. This commitment to search the Scriptures and use them as our guide will also help protect us from the many expressions of false teaching and reckless behavior so prevalent within Christianity at large.
Don’t forget, theology is simply (and profoundly!) the study of God. The Bible is the textbook. And what an amazing, fantastic study it is!
If you are sensing an interest in God, and a desire to investigate the Bible to understand genuine Christianity we extend to you a warm invitation.
If you are a believer in need of a church family where you can grow in grace and in the knowledge of the Lord, the welcome mat is at the door!
May the Lord bless you richly through the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
